A rock star of the Roccoco era: MOZART! The musical by the dream team of Michael Kunze and Sylvester Levay throws light on the world’s most famous composer both as a historical human being and as a legendary figure of classical music.
To mark the 50th anniversary celebration of the first musical production in a VBW theatre, a very unique Musical Gala will take place in Raimund Theater. Three evenings have been set aside where the audiences can delight in excerpts from the VBW Musicals of the last five decades, showcasing audience favourites, a fantastic ensemble and an exciting insight into the history of the musical genre.
On Monday, 30th November 2015 it’s that time of year again:
In addition to WERNER BRIX himself, who will be performing together with his band, WERNER SCHNEYDER, KARL MARKOVICS, DIE KERNÖLAMAZONEN, WIENER BLOND and ANDREAS VITASEK will be performing this evenign pro bono and for a very good cause.
The show, which includes some of the best musical songs of all time, such as “Don’t Cry For Me, Argentina”, “On This Night of a Thousand Stars”, “I’d be Surprisingly Good For You” and “Another Suitcase in Another Hall”, tells the story of Eva Perón, wife of the former Argentine dictator Juan Perón, from her humble beginnings to her reign as national heroine.
The Easter Concert series will continue at the RAIMUND THEATER in 2016 with the European premiere production of a spectacular rock version of G.F. Handel’s oratorio “The Messiah”: MESSIAH ROCKS by Jason Howland and Dani Davis.
A turbulent love affair!
This is the story of the unconventional marriage between the actor, singer, director, writer and stage manager Emanuel Schikaneder and his wife Eleonore, the relationship between them and their impact to the artistic scenes of the time.
I AM FROM AUSTRIA is a charming musical comedy, ebullient, effervescent and enchanting. A modern fairy tale full of romance and adventure but also a tumultuous comedy of errors about love, friendship and family.
